I began my Shrink It weight loss program when I received my Vitamark package. I've lost 13 pounds!!!!! This getting healthy thing is awesome. I've gone through some detox, but that is to be expected when you go from non healthy to healthy. Nothing major. Now I KNOW I'm actually getting healthy in all areas.

Not much else going on right now. Just a yucky snowy day in central NY. We're getting a blizzard at the moment. I want to move someplace warm. My husband has finally decided that we can move to North Carolina before next winter. That way he can work year round and not have to worry about no work in the winter.

What is Network Marketing and Why Should You Get Involved?

Let me put it this way:

A friend of mine is starting college this year. He gets to struggle for 4-5 years while studying/attending classes during the day and working at night (outside the home) to pay for tuition. He is learning a trade that will eventually allow him to (in 4 or 5 years) BEGIN his career by making some lucky business owner rich.

I am beginning my network marketing career with a new company this year. I will work 15 - 20 hours a week for 4-5 years and have the financial and time freedom to do the things I want to do. I will probably continue to work and continue to increase my RESIDUAL income, but I won't HAVE to.

Which path would you rather be on? If you knew that you could start today and work part time for 4-5 years (less if you want to work full time) and RETIRE with income for life, what would you do? What will you do? The choice is yours. YOUR FUTURE is up to YOU!!

What's Your Plan?

I have been working with a mentor.

A mentor is a wise and trusted friend and guide. Michael Dlouhy (author of the free eBook "Success in 10 Steps") has begun to share with me what he has learned in his 30 years in network marketing. This man is a wonderful human being who is taking his time to mentor anyone who is now in a home based business or who wants to be in one. He doesn't care if you're in the same opportunity as he is or not. He will share his wisdom and insights with you regardless. AND he doesn't charge you one penny!!

Years ago, network marketing (also known as Multi Level Marketing or MLM) was frowned upon. People who were involved in network marketing were told to get a real job. Those who persisted and stayed with it are now millionaires while those who listened to the naysayers are still struggling with their JOB (Just Over Broke). I listened to the naysayers. For years I listened to those who said "That will never work - get a real job". That didn't work well for me either. LOL.

Do you know the difference between linear income and residual income?

Linear income is trading hours for dollars. Let's say you are a factory worker. If you don't go to work, you don't get paid. Maybe you are a doctor. If you don't go to work, you don't get paid.

Residual income is income that you collect again and again for work you did once. Musicians and authors (as long as they are good ones) collect residual income for life for work the did once and did right. As long as that work is done once and done right, you continue to collect on it for years and years to come.

Our team motto is "Build it once, Build it big and build it to pay your children's children." THAT, my friends, is network marketing. Network marketing is not about sales, it's about relationships. Build relationships with the people you work with and you will have made some of the best friends you will ever have.

What do I have to do to get this residual income? you ask. Well...it's VERY simple. First, find a company that has products that you like and enjoy. I've found Vitamark. Now, you don't have to choose the same company as I did, although if you look at the website and like the products, by all means, I would be happy to have you on my team.

Next, DON'T CHANGE. Simply do the same thing you've done since childhood. Tell others about things you like. If you see a good movie, you may tell a few friends about it, right? If you tried a new recipe and it was delicious, you may tell a few friends about it, right? If you found a new place to shop and loved it, you may tell a few friends about it, right?

Do you get paid for recommending any of those things? Does the movie producer pay you for recommending their movie? Does the store pay you for recommending them to others? In network marketing, if you recommend your company's products to others, THE COMPANY PAYS YOU. They pay you EVERY TIME that person shops at that company. This is powerful.

Don't have a wheel mouse? Don't worry. Just click on view at the top menu of Internet Explorer and then on text size and choose a larger size than is bulleted now.

My Business Site

Yesterday was one heck of a day!!

I woke up to my husband asking me if I wanted to have a cup of coffee before it got cold. I couldn't figure out why the coffee would get cold because we just replaced the coffee maker last week. He informed me that the power was out. We had a real bad wind storm here. The wind took our trampoline (it was a big one with the net and all) and whipped it across the back yard. In the process it knocked the Direct TV dishes around and broke one of them.

We got lucky and were only without power for about 4 hours. Some people still don't have power. The winds were clocked at as high as 87 mph. We lost our internet for the majority of the day. I was going through withdrawls. We are back up and running now though.

I've included a pic of the trampoline and dishes. The wind gusts were so strong that it blew tractor trailers over on the highway.

Luckily, no one was seriously hurt that we know of.

I got my Optimum Health Pack yesterday from Vitamark. I took my Limu Plus yesterday and today to try it. I think it tastes like grape juice with a punch. Clayton says it tastes like wine. Regardless, it's good! Both he and I had LOTS of energy today. (Well...he said he felt like he was speeding so I guess that's lots of energy)

I wasn't thrilled with the Blitz cookie bar, but I don't really like oatmeal raisin anyway and that's what flavor it comes in.

I have been taking the Super ViGest for two days and I had very little heartburn today. It helps your food digest. Has digestive enzymes in it.

I have to go watch Survivor. It's my one must watch show. I'm a reality TV freak I guess. LOL

The tips in the previous post were mostly from experience with the internet, but some of them came from newsletters I get from the newbie club. They have a lot of great tips and tricks. You can sign up at for their newsletter at the newbie club link above.

I've found a place to get some great leads. Visit HERE to check it out. If you are in a business where you need to get good quality leads, these are great!! The people fill out a form looking for a home based business and they have a field where they can put anything they want in there. I get some awesome responses with these leads. They really are people looking for a home business. Not just someone who was filling out a survey or something.

I got my Vitamark optimum health pack today. I tasted the Limu and it tastes MUCH better than the old product I was taking. It kind of tastes like grape juice with a little tart to it.

I also got a free Natique Skin Care pack. I'm going to have Katie use it and see if it helps her acne. I'll keep you posted. LOL.

If you are using internet explorer and you hold the shift key while clicking on a link, the link will open in a new window. (You can also right click the link and click on open in new window)

Press the F11 key. To get back to regular view, press F11 again.

Create a screen shot of your computer.

Press the Print Screen button. This works just as if you had copied something and then you can paste it into a picture editing program or ms word to save to your computer.

Print selected text from a website.

Highlight the text you want to print. Right click and click on print. When your print dialogue box comes up, choose selection and print as usual. This only works on websites that are not right click protected. If the site is protected, click on file at the top of your IE window, then on print, then choose selection and print as usual.

I've finally found it!!!

I found a company with honesty and integrity!!! I've been working with a coach and mentor who has taught me what to look for in a business. I read lots of policies and procedures. I don't want another fiasco where a company can take away my business for getting upset with ignorant member "service" reps. LOL. I found an awesome company called Vitamark. They have a product called Limu Plus that has some awesome ingredients in it!!

Limu Plus has Fucoidan in it. To see what Fucoidan can do for you visit PubMed.gov and do a search for fucoidan. You can also search for Russian Adaptogens that are in Limu Plus too.

I will keep all updated on my progress.

The V debacle is behind me.

They aren't worth my time worrying about them. The great thing about this business model called network marketing is that once you learn how it works, you can build it again if need be. Not all companies would terminate you for "conveying a negative opinion of" someone, but some would and did. I say hasta la vista baby!!

I will miss the friends I have made in that company, but I will still keep in touch as long as they want.

I have been working with a FREE coaching and mentoring program the past week and I've been learning so much. I'm learning how to create relationships with people. Most network marketing ventures I've attempted in the past have told me "Make a list of 500 people and bug the heck out of them and maybe you'll get a sign up or two" or "Your friends and family are the toughest on you so start with them, the rejection will do you good, you'll get used to it easier that way." or (my personal favorite) "Go out and get 100 no's and you will be THAT MUCH CLOSER TO A YES". LOL.

Today is the first day of the rest of my life.

I am looking forward to a new beginning. The network marketing company that I've been with for a while now terminated me last Friday. They had no reason to do this and had no basis for the termination, but they did it anyway. I'm just glad that I hadn't built a really large organization with them.

The policies and procedures with this company are written as such that they can terminate you at any time for basically any reason. If you are involved in a network marketing opportunity, make sure you read your policies and procedures and know what EVERY word means. If you are unsure of the meaning of a word, you can always go to http://www.google.com/ and type DEFINE and whatever word you want the definition for. For example, you would type in "DEFINE disparage" (without quotes) to find out that disparage means "convey a negative opinion of". If you have the clause in your policies and procedures saying you will not disparage others, you can not even roll your eyes at someone involved in the company or you are disparaging them and you could be terminated.

So...water under the bridge. I learned a lesson that I will never have to learn again.
